Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros along with classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana likes tangos as much as opera, and various other dramatic kinds. She began her singing and learning songs with her mother before beginning her vocal instruction at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The singer continued her education in the field of music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the south of California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She's involved in numerous local organizations, both as an instructor and performer because of her love for music and art. Ana was also part of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor at the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able be able to share her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to keep the traditional music going.
