Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire around the age of five, Emma was enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. Emma's debut film on the screen took place in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. The film broke all records on first-day and weekend numbers, and was the most successful 2001 film. The film was praised by critics and its performances by the three acclaimed young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a popular British newspaper, was awed by her for her impressive performance. Then Emma was nominated for five awards based on her performance in the film winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in an Feature Film.
